The Tiptonian is a smoke free property. Guests may smoke outside in the designated area on the patio. Violation will result in a Non-Compliance fee of $200.

Pet Policy
Pets are NOT allowed. Per the ADA, only dogs will be considered as service animals. If you are bringing a service dog, please notify us at time of booking. Guests who fail to register pets are subject to fine and eviction.
A non-refundable pet fee of $100 per stay is required.
Excessive barking & aggressive behavior will not be tolerated.
Pets must remain on a leash at all times and guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pet on hotel property.
Pets are NOT to be left unattended in a hotel room.
Noise complaints and damage, resulting from dogs left unattended in rooms and in violation of hotel policy, may result in a "NON-Compliance Fee" of $200.
Guests are fully responsible for any injuries or damages caused by their dog to other guests, staff, or hotel property.
The Tiptonian is not liable for any injury or illness that the dog may incur during its stay.
Guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Tiptonian from all liability and damage suffered as a result of the guest's dog.
Is The Tiptonian handicap accessible?
The Tiptonian is located above The Mad Tap Eatery and is not equipped with an elevator. Guests must be able to climb stairs.
Can I request a "quiet room"?
The sister company located on the 1st floor is an eatery and tap room and joyous festivities and live music are encouraged and frequent at The Mad Tap.
We have taken many measures to insulate and soundproof each of the rooms and the hallway, but the property is historic and therefore it does not have the same level of soundproofing as a modern property.
As a guest staying on the 2nd floor, please expect noise & food aromas Tuesday-Thursday until 10pm, Friday & Saturday until midnight, and Sunday 2-8pm.
Each room comes with an additional fan and charging outlets for additional noise cancellation devices.
When is Check-In and Check-Out?
Check-in is 3pm and check-out is at 11am. Access codes are programmed to begin & stop working at those times.
Late check-outs are not allowed; a $100 fee will be charged.
Is daily housekeeping available?
No, there is no daily housekeeping. There is a $15 cleaning fee charge per room, per stay. If you are staying multiple days and would like to request cleaning service on a day in between, there will be an additional $15 fee.
If you need extra towels or your trash emptied, please contact us via email & we can handle that for you at no charge.
In the event of "accidents" please notify us immediately so that we can assess & manage the situation.
Does the property have surveillance?
There are 24/7 cameras located at the front door and in the upstairs hallway. The patio is also covered, by the restaurant downstairs.
The Tiptonian reserves the right to request that the guest(s) leave in the event of inappropriate behavior or reports of misconduct.
Guests may be asked to vacate property without a refund, at the sole discretion of hotel management.
